Payouts

Two different things get called a payout

Taking your own money out and sending money to someone else are not the same operation, do not use the same rails, and do not have the same coverage. Almost every answer you will read about African payouts collapses them, which is how you end up planning around a limit that does not apply to you, or around a reach that does not exist.

Settlement

Every country in the world

Your Ultraner balance to your own bank account. It leaves as an international wire, so the destination is not a payments question: if the bank can receive a wire, it can receive your settlement. A business in London collecting Tanzanian shillings settles to London.

Disbursement

1 market

Your balance into somebody else's mobile wallet: a seller, a driver, a member of staff. This needs a payout rail with the operator in that country, negotiated market by market, and having a collection rail there does not give you one.

Where a wallet payout lands today

We collect in 14 markets and pay into a wallet in 1. That gap is the honest shape of the continent right now, not a roadmap we are being coy about: a collection rail and a payout rail are separate integrations with separate approvals, and the second one takes longer.

Payout rail being brought up

Which one do you need?

I sell online and want my revenue in my bank account.
Settlement. Works from every live market to any bank that takes a wire. Nothing about your market restricts this.
I run a marketplace and need to pay my sellers.
Disbursement, into each seller's wallet. Live in Tanzania. Elsewhere you would settle to your own account and pay sellers by whatever local means you already use.
I pay staff or contractors across several countries.
Disbursement per market, so the same limit applies. Payroll is a scheduling layer on top of it, not a different rail.
I need to refund a customer.
Neither. A refund returns money along the path it came in, so it follows the collection rail and works wherever collection does.
