Build ยท For businesses operating in Africa
One integration. 14 markets, each with its own way money moves.
Every African market has its own wallets, currency, phone format and rules. Ultraner turns 14 of them into one API, one checkout and one balance, so the second country costs you a configuration change rather than a project.

What you can build
The money parts of an African business, live.
Accept payments
Charge a mobile money wallet, card, bank account or PayPal.
Hosted checkout
A payment page Ultraner hosts, with every method the payer can use.
Payment links
A shareable link or QR that takes a payment with no integration at all.
Payouts to a wallet
Send money to a payer's mobile money account.
Live in Tanzania today; the other markets are being brought up one verified rail at a time. Not to be confused with settlement, which works everywhere.
Settlement to a bank account
Move your balance to your own bank account by wire.
Escrow
Hold a payment until delivery is confirmed, then release it.
Recurring billing
Charge on a schedule, on mobile money, card or PayPal.
Mobile money sends a fresh prompt each interval, because African networks store no card on file. Card and PayPal charge automatically.
Invoices
Issue an invoice and collect against it.
Payroll and batch payouts
Pay up to 500 people in one submitted batch.
Reaches a wallet only where disbursement is live; otherwise settle and pay onward.
Split payouts (Streamline)
Onboard your own sellers, take a cut, and pay out the rest.
Refunding a split payment reverses the platform fee too. If the money has already been withdrawn the balance can go below zero, and it has to be topped up before any further payout.
Currency conversion
A payer pays in their currency, you are credited in yours.
Cross-border payments
A payer in one market paying a business in another.
Refunds
Return a payment to where it came from.
Webhooks
Signed events when anything moves, so your system stays in step.
Promo codes
Your own discount codes, applied by the customer at checkout.
Products and prices
Define what you sell once, then charge from it.
Features and entitlements
Check whether a customer's subscription grants access to something.
QR payments
A printed or displayed code that opens your checkout.
Collect
In every live market
Mobile money on 18 wallet brands, cards through Stripe and PayPal, on one checkout or through the API.
Pay out
To wallets in Tanzania
Payouts into a mobile money wallet are live in Tanzania and open market by market; your own balance settles to your own bank account, in any country.
Settle
To any bank
Balances are held per currency and settle to your own bank account, in any country, at a rate published on /fx.
Coverage
14 markets in 3 regions.
Use cases
What businesses build with it.
Collect from customers
Most customers on the continent hold money in a mobile wallet, not on a card, and each market has different networks. One Ultraner integration reaches all of them, plus card and PayPal for anyone paying from abroad.
Pay sellers and suppliers
Paying many people, often in small amounts, across markets where a bank transfer is slow or unavailable. Payouts reach a mobile wallet where that rail is live, and settlement reaches a bank account anywhere in the world.
Hold funds until delivery
Neither the buyer nor the seller wants to go first. The payment is held rather than forwarded, and released when delivery is confirmed, so the platform is not carrying the risk in the middle.
Split a payment between parties
A platform collects the whole amount, keeps its cut, and forwards the remainder. Streamline does this as one operation rather than as a payment followed by a separate payout you reconcile yourself.
Bill on a schedule
Card networks store a card on file and charge it; African mobile money does not, so a subscription has to prompt the payer each interval. Ultraner handles both models behind one plan object.
Invoice and collect
Issue an invoice, let the customer pay it with whatever they have, and be credited in your own currency. The rate is shown to the payer before they confirm.
Pay staff
Salaries to many people at once, in the market each person lives in. Submitted as a batch, authorised by a named person rather than by an API key alone.
Accept donations
Small amounts from many people, most of whom will not fill in a card form. A link or QR opens a checkout that accepts the wallet they already use.
Sell tickets
Demand arrives in bursts and most buyers pay from a phone. A hosted checkout takes the payment, and escrow can hold it until the event happens.
Collect group contributions and pay out a round
A savings group collects a contribution from every member each round, then pays the whole pot to whoever is due. Done on trust and a notebook it is the record, not the money, that causes the argument, so every contribution lands against a shared record and the payout is one traceable action.
Get paid from another country
The payer uses their own network and currency, the business is credited in its own, and the rate is shown before the payer confirms. The two do not need the same rail.
